November 26, 2002 (from Resource Center of the Americas)-- MINNEAPOLIS PUBLIC SCHOOL BOARD AGREES TO IMPLEMENT SWEATFREE PURCHASING POLICY FOR APPAREL AND ATHLETIC EQUIPMENT--The Minneapolis Public School Board voted unanimously to adopt a resolution to implement within six months a sweatfree purchasing policy that will include all the district's purchases of apparel and athletic equipment. The effort was driven mainly by Minneapolis high school students.
