Campaign Goals

Our mission is toeducate, mobilize, and empower Washingtonians to use their collectiveconsumer power to resist the local effects of sweatshops and ensuretheir tax dollars are not being used to support sweatshop laborconditions.

We are asking Washington to collaborate with other states across the nation to form the Sweatfree Purchasing Consortium,which pools resources for factory monitoring and coordinates enforcement of sweatfree purchasing policies.

Acting as anethical consumer, the state of Washington has the power to support fairand decent working conditions by adopting a sweatfree procurementpolicy.
